These are some of the services you get when you select our NDIS-supported independent living SIL:
NDIS STA helps you break the monotony of daily life with a short stay of 1-14 days at the centre of your choice. There are various scenarios when you would want to use an STA. Perhaps your regular caretaker needs a respite or has to attend to some pressing personal or professional commitment. Or maybe you want to meet and interact with new people and learn some new skills.
You may also use STA support when your home is going through renovation or an uplift. In any of these and various other situations, STA can serve as a home away from home. These are the various eligibility criteria to access NDIS short-term accommodation services:
NDIS MTA or medium-term accommodation is offered for up to 90 days at a time. You can use it when you need specialised support or when your regular care provider is not available. Many people use it during the post-surgery recovery phase when they need specialised care by nursing staff or professional care providers.
This is a more cost-effective option than staying at the hospital which may not be covered by your insurance. MTA may also be part of your NDIS plan or may be covered by your core funding. Discuss your options with our specialists before you make your MTA booking.
Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) is another support designed specifically for people with disabilities who require complex support. It is meant for participants who have very high support needs and require living spaces with specialised equipment or facilities to live comfortably. This usually means special lifts, ramps and other conveniences that provide easy and unrestricted access to the inhabitants.
These are the various benefits of NDIS STA or MTA at our support centre:
